What to know before you go
- Laem Sing Beach is a compact cove on Phuket's west coast, located between Surin Beach and Kamala Beach. It became much quieter after road access was closed, and today most visitors arrive by boat from Surin or by a rocky path along the coast.
- The beach is known for soft sand, clear water in the dry season, and a more secluded atmosphere than nearby major beaches. For solo travelers, it is best visited in the morning or around mid-tide, when the walk is safer and the beach is less exposed to strong sun.
Culture, safety & access
Culture & etiquette
Dress modestly when arriving and leaving through public areas; keep noise low and respect local beach users
Safety & health
Wear grippy sandals for the rocky approach, watch the tide, and avoid visiting alone after dark

No direct road access; reach by boat from Surin Beach or a rocky coastal walk that is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers
Solo Traveler Safety
Go in daylight, tell someone your plan, and avoid the rocky section at high tide or after rain
Swimming Conditions
Usually best in calm dry-season weather; check waves and currents before entering the water
Facilities
Limited facilities; bring water, cash, sun protection, and take all trash back with you
Public Transport
Take a taxi or ride-hailing app to Surin Beach, then continue by boat or on foot from the south end
