    Lo Lo Chai is a small ethnic minority village located about 1km from the Lung Cu Flag Tower in Dong Van District, Ha Giang. Home to the Black Lo Lo people, the village is famous for its distinctive yin-yang tiled rooftops, ancient stone-walled houses, and well-preserved traditional culture. In 2025, it was honored by the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as one of the Best Tourism Villages in the World, recognizing its community-based tourism model and cultural authenticity.

    What to know before you go

    • Lo Lo Chai is home to around 100 households of the Black Lo Lo ethnic group, one of Vietnam's smallest ethnic minorities. The village has maintained its traditional architecture — houses built with yin-yang clay tiles and surrounded by stone fences — for generations.
