    Overview

A scenic limestone cave and famous mountain viewpoint in Ninh Binh, known for its dragon-stair summit and panoramic rice-field views.

Mua Cave (Hang Múa) is one of Ninh Binh’s most iconic attractions, located at the foot of Mua Mountain in the Trang An Landscape Complex area. Visitors come mainly for the steep climb to the summit, where a dragon-lined stone staircase leads to sweeping views over Tam Coc’s rice fields, limestone karsts, and waterways. It is especially popular for sunrise, sunset, and photography, and is a strong choice for solo travelers who want a short but memorable outdoor experience with easy access from Tam Coc and Ninh Binh city.

What to know before you go

    • Mua Cave is located in Khe Dau Ha Hamlet, Ninh Xuan Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, about 3.5 km from Tam Coc and roughly 10 km from Ninh Binh city. It is widely known for its summit viewpoint rather than the cave itself.
    • The main draw is the climb of around 500 stone steps to the top of Mua Mountain, where visitors can see rice paddies, rivers, and karst peaks across the Trang An area. The site also includes a lotus pond and landscaped paths at the base, making it a popular stop for both sightseeing and photography.
