What to know before you go

    • The Bitexco Financial Tower was designed by Carlos Zapata Studio and completed in 2010. Its most distinctive feature is the helicopter pad (helipad) protruding from the 52nd floor like a lotus petal, inspired by the lotus flower — a national symbol of Vietnam.
    • The Saigon Skydeck on the 49th floor is the main tourist attraction. Visitors ride a high-speed elevator to the deck and enjoy panoramic views stretching across all of Ho Chi Minh City, the Saigon River winding through the urban landscape, and the suburban sprawl extending to the horizon.
    • The tower also houses Eon Heli Bar on the 50th-52nd floors — an upscale bar and restaurant perched adjacent to the helipad, offering cocktails with sky-high views. The lower floors feature a shopping mall and restaurant outlets.
