What to know before you go

    • The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is an imposing granite structure that serves as the final resting place of the revolutionary leader "Uncle Ho." Inspired by Lenin's Mausoleum but incorporating distinct Vietnamese architectural elements, it dominates the expansive lawns of Ba Dinh Square—the exact site where President Ho Chi Minh declared independence in 1945.
    • Inside the cool, dimly lit central hall, visitors queue in respectful silence to view the embalmed body of the president, guarded by a military honor guard. The surrounding complex includes the monumental Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, the historic House on Stilts where he lived, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, offering a deep dive into the country's political history.
